Prescriptions

Prescriptions are written at the time of consultation.

In some circumstances by arrangement the doctor may be able to provide a repeat prescription outside a consultation but there is a $5 administration fee for this service.

Please don’t ask our doctors to write prescriptions if you haven’t been in for a long time, like over a year!

Replacement of lost scripts: Lost scripts for narcotic type painkillers cannot be made.

All decisions on prescriptions are at the discretion of the doctor. This includes new patients expecting to start attending where the purpose is to renew prescriptions for benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, Mogadon), narcotic painkillers (Panadeine Forte, Tramadol, Oxycodone) or stimulants (Dexamfetamine). Doctors are not under any obligation to prescribe these drugs to patients.
